Acquiring experience for a job comes through on-the-job training and through educational facilities. Learning programs can be in the form of degrees, diplomas, certificates and even short courses. British Columbia has twenty-five publicly funded post-secondary institutions with additional privately funded institutions. Additionally, numerous organizations give short courses (1 - 5 day courses) you can take to upgrade knowledge or learn a bit more on a topic. Online or remote learning programs are offered throughout the province providing flexibility and accessibility for students.
