Cailey Murphy

BC Stone, Sand and Gravel Association

Cailey Murphy is Acting Executive Director of BC Stone, Sand and Gravel Association and MABC's Senior Strategic Advisor, proving support for the Association's communications and advocacy initiatives. Cailey is a communications and government relations professional with more than a decade of progressive experience in strategic communications and political affairs.  As the Principal and Founder of NNW Communications, Cailey works with various not-for-profit, private and public sector clients in the resource development, post-secondary education, tourism and hospitality sectors.

Prior starting NNW Communications, Cailey was the Managing Director, Western Canada, for a public affairs firm based in Toronto.  Previously, Cailey was the Director of Communications and External Affairs for the Mining Association of British Columbia where she led strategic communications, government relations and stakeholder engagement initiatives on behalf of the BC mining industry.  She formerly held the communications portfolio at the British Columbia Hotel Association as the Director of Communications and Government Relations.  Cailey offers a broad range of policy experience in natural resource development, corporate social responsibility, tourism, taxation, liquor and retail.

Cailey has additionally held various communications and stakeholder outreach positions with the Government of Canada and the BC government.  She has a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Queen’s University and a Bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University.
