Mory Ghomshei is a Faculty Member at BCIT (teaching Courses in Mining and Energy Resources and Systems). As an adjunct professor at the Mining Departments of UBC (since 1999), Mory has been teaching courses in energy resources and systems. Also as the manager of the CERM3 (Centre for Environmental Research in Minerals, Metals and Martials), Mory established laboratories and programs at UBC for conducting applied research on sustainable energy systems and energy and carbon saving in mining (e.g. in comminution, haulage and ventilation). Mory is also an adjunct professor at McGill University, Dept. of mining, contributing to research on sustainable energy. He is presently a principal investigator in a number of Canadian and international sustainable energy projects (e.g. extraction of heat from abandoned and operating mines, co-production of geothermal energy and natural gas in Northern BC , and optimization of mine energy systems).

Mory works as an international energy consultant (e.g. developed for World Bank, environmental guidelines for geothermal power). Mory is expert in carbon accounting and ISO-50001 (helped several energy-intensive industries in BC, acquire ISO certification).

Mory has authored or co-authored over 150 publications and 250 technical reports in the fields of sustainable energy resources and technologies and mineral and material science.
