Mr. Patrick M. McAndless, B.Sc. (Honours), P. Geo. is currently working as an advisor or director for several junior mining companies.  He served as Vice President of Exploration at Imperial Metals Corp. for many years.

He has been involved in mineral exploration for four decades accumulating extensive knowledge and expertise in the evaluation of mineral prospects. He has over 44 years in the mining industry primarily exploring for base and precious metal deposits. Other work has included managing large scale exploration projects for various senior and junior mining companies focusing on porphyry copper, volcanic massive sulphide, epithermal gold, uranium and diamond deposits.

Mr. McAndless was the recipient of the APEGBC's C.J. Westerman Memorial Award for "combining his solid professional career with outstanding service and dedication to advancing public recognition of geoscience." In 2005 he was honored by the British Columbia & Yukon Chamber of Mines and awarded the H.H. "Spud" Huestis Award for Excellence in Prospecting and Mineral Exploration, and in 2003 he received the Northern BC Prospector of the Year Award at the Northern BC Business & Industry Awards. Mr. McAndless is a Professional Geoscientist and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours Geology) from the University of British Columbia in June 1970.

He is very supportive of training programs for the mining industry, has been involved with the School of Exploration and Mining at Northwest Community College, and is personally mentoring numerous geoscience students across North America.  For more information, visit
